Autel MaxiSys Elite and Mercedes SCN Coding

I purchased the  Autel Maxisys Elite almost a year ago. I decided to buy it from an Autel representative based on his customer service skills and YouTube videos. I am based in the USA and the Autel rep is outside the USA. I paid a bit more for the tool because the direct human to human customer service is something I value a lot and it is something nearly extinct nowadays. Total price was $3600 USD and it was equipped with an additional cable for BMW programming and the nifty camera too. The Autel marketing practices do very little to bring clarity to the details of what the tool can and can not do. When it comes to programming various modules found in our vehicles, the details are lacking. It can program BMW and Mercedes Benz from the tablet, but it can not program GM modules because the software to program GM runs on Windows, not Android.   Launch X431 V+  is full system auto diagnostic scan tool which is the update version of  X431 V Pro. It support  all systems diagnostics, ecu coding, key programming,resetting services,active test (Bi-directional control) and more. Is it worth to buy one? Let’s check the reviews of Launch X431 V+ by the users. Mickie: I have Snap On, Matco, and other scanners, and when I was recommended to the Launch X431 V+ for doing module programming, I was at first hesitant. How to update BMW ICOM A2 or ICOM NEXT Firmware

  When using the latest ISTA D software to do BMW diagnosis, icom hareware can be detected, but the device doesn’t communicate with the vehicle,  can’t enter modules reading page, like below picture: What’s the solution? The firmware doesn’t match with the  latest ISTA sofware, firmware need to be updated. ICOM firmware update steps: 1. Need the latest updated file for ICOM firmware: 2.Charge ICOM hardware, connect the vehicle, use ISTA engineering sofware IToolRadar to detect the IP address of  ICOM hardware, see below picture, the IP address can be found as 169.254.92.38 3. Open Internet Explorer Input the IP address which is deteced above to the address bar: like http://169.254.92.38:60080 username: root password: NZY11502 4. Click “update firmware” after login 5.
